Meet Me Out In Space

Don't listen to the world - they say we're never gonna make it.

Ended up in Mc'Donalds yesterday while searching through one of Moscow's areas for a place with Wi-Fi and coffee... And can you imagine? Had girls following me to the ladies' room to take pics of me in the outfit I was wearing (pics below) asking if I had some special occasion or if I dress like that every day!

To be honest - yeah, I do, simply because I can. I never could before, for various reasons. I studied hard, my family wouldn't let me, and I must say working at a law firm doesn't get you far in that direction, either.

I must admit at this point that I have no idea whatsoever where this road will lead me - all I know is I'm happy now like I've NEVER been before and I am finally free to be myself or whoever the hell in the world I wanna be, open to everything coming my way. Remember what Lana asked all of us at the end of her music video for "Ride"?..

So what was your answer?

I know what mine would've been a little over a year ago. I was a different person.

But now I know my answer for sure and it's completely new for me.

Today is yesterday's tomorrow. Don't wait for another chance to be happy. Your time is NOW.

Much love and may you have the strength to listen to your heart only.

xoxo, Alina

A little P.S.: as some of you may know I'm a vegetarian with concern growing on the daily. I have a ridiculous amount of fur coats I still haven't decided what to do with yet, but I decided a while ago on gradually transferring my wardrobe to animal-friendly materials.

So welcome - my first Vegan Leather Bomber from Minusey. I'M. ABSOLUTELY. LO-O-OVIN' IT!!!

Hellbound

A while ago I posted a picture on IG with my first ever Unif item. These are the legendary Hellbounds -  step two for anyone who's already completed the JC Lita step:-) I have - more than ever - so when I felt I was ready I ordered these babies.

If someone thought my shoes were crazy before - hold back! The Hellbounds take shoe insanity to a whole new level. I've never owned grey shoes before so the color choice was obvious - but should I even mention that now that I know they fit and I love them I want all the other colors, too? Getting the pink ones next for sure!!!

Meanwhile it's getting FREEZING in Moscow and it's gonna become difficult to take outfit pictures outside soon... What a pity. Anyway, I hope you enjoy these pictures and I wish you a great day!

Golden Autumn

We have a beautiful, beautiful autumn here in Moscow. I returned from the Maldives to find everything covered in gold. What a lovely opportunity for all the photographers out there! I couldn't help but call my friend photographer Kirill Kireev who is especiallly good at what he does... No special gadgets needed for this time of year though - the surroundings are naturally breathtaking!

This post shall be devoted to dreams coming true - I finally got my hands upon this glorious Zara necklace that I'd been hunting like crazy for the past couple of months. As far as I'm concerned, we still don't have it for sale here - thank goodness I have friends who understand my obsessions... Got it from Paris and I must say it was worth the wait! Simply. Stunning. I recently participated in a TV show wearing it and people were coming up to me discreetly and asking me how much "the necklace" costs in quiet whispers... LOL:-)

I'm still thinking of getting rid of the lowest part of it which can be taken off easily... Saw some bloggers do that - it's not such a bad idea, that way it doesn't look like "too much". Maybe later.

I have recently gone through major changes in my life which will hopefully result in more posts on my blog! Yay! Enjoy and wish you a great day!

The Maldives Never Fail Me

...or anyone, perhaps. And seriously - there's not so much to say about them. I used to get bored from listening to people talk about how glorious the place is. I mean, what hadn't I seen? I came to the US for the first time when I barely turned 4 years old. Pretty fly for those times - the 90-ties in Russia were... harsh. And then living in the UK, traveling the world every month or so with the childrens' band I used to sing in... I thought I'd seen it all. But then again, so thinks everyone who hasn't been THERE.

Don't get me wrong - I know there are many opinions around. But this is mine. The Maldives are a place like no other.

I must say now that I was SO exhausted before we left that I hardly moved around in the hotel. I just lay there all day reading (my 2nd "Maldivian" post will be about that) and trying to get myself back together after all those months of non-stop work without weekends or holidays. It was a real escape - we got the tickets in the morning and were in the plane by eve - as soon as I realised I couldn't take no more of the hectic rush.

As it always happens on holidays, I had a lot of time to think about my life and where I'm going. To be honest, that' my favorite thing about holidays - I return a new person. I get used to things and people really quickly and find it hard to get a fresh view of the surroundings. But away from Moscow my mind always becomes clear.

What I'm aiming at is that unlike the previous trips to this Paradise, this time I didn't ask my man to take photos of me. Let me explain - I usually blow his brain out with this. Simply because the nature around is... OH. EM. GEE. But this time I didn't want that. A funny coincidence - my phone mysteriously stopped working as soon as I stepped foot on the hotel's island. So it really was a true getaway.

Yet my man did take pics of me after all. Twice. And I will make two posts with them. And this is the first one - not exactly an outfit post (since you've seen all of this on me before), but more of an atmosphere post.

Hope you like it:)
